  1. This was a very powerful strip, but I still managed to laugh out loud at “those mother fucking squid things”. You are good at bringing humour into intense situations.

  2. Oh no! These moments are an unfortunate reality of life and they always make me feel awful when I come across them. However we can’t know joy without pain, happiness without anger, or love without hatred. I think these things are two sides of the same coin, which means that life sucks sometimes. 😦 Given the alternative of knowing nothing at all, I prefer to take the good with the bad myself. It gives me hope because even when life sucks, I know the other side of the coin is always waiting. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Ernest and Zelda!!!! I hope they both find their roads to happiness and that their ways might still lie together. This one was a very powerful strip Tony: it made me cry.

  3. Wow, didn’t see that coming. Well written beautifully illustrated, I would say J M W Turner like skyline is very moving and compliments the story very well. Art as in life is all about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Keep up the good work and dare to dream.

  5. The pain is powerful and real. I hope they find a way to survive. The romantic dream of escaping to a place of isolation and beauty is often more attractive that the actuality. Reality is harsher and at the same time more beautiful than fantasy or imagination. Ruth M
