To be fair, the theramin is a pretty sweet piece of kit…though.I’ve never played one myself.

I think they’re amazing instruments. Apparently they’re quite hard to master.

Well… Nothing happens without rhyme or reason.
I feel that it’s one of the key strips… I guess I should learn the whole story.
From the first till the present.

Un, you are correct that this is a key strip. This is where everything falls apart for Ernest. I’m so glad that you’ve been enjoying the comic so far! 😀

I don’t enjoy the comic, Tony…
I just fall in love with it ❤

I must be in that Fall-funk lately because this reminds me how sometimes even I think of flipping the scripts and starting up someplace new…

It’s such a tempting thing to consider, isn’t it. I sometimes wonder how many of us have had these kinds of thoughts. I hope your Fall-funk passes soon, my friend…

This was a very powerful strip, but I still managed to laugh out loud at “those mother fucking squid things”. You are good at bringing humour into intense situations.

Thanks, Sophie. That’s life really. The funny and the intense often go side by side that way. 😛

Oh no! These moments are an unfortunate reality of life and they always make me feel awful when I come across them. However we can’t know joy without pain, happiness without anger, or love without hatred. I think these things are two sides of the same coin, which means that life sucks sometimes. 😦 Given the alternative of knowing nothing at all, I prefer to take the good with the bad myself. It gives me hope because even when life sucks, I know the other side of the coin is always waiting. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Ernest and Zelda!!!! I hope they both find their roads to happiness and that their ways might still lie together. This one was a very powerful strip Tony: it made me cry.

Thank you, S.J. It was a bit of a gut wrench to commit to the page but I wanted it to be raw and honest. I hope I achieved that. 🙂

Wow, didn’t see that coming. Well written beautifully illustrated, I would say J M W Turner like skyline is very moving and compliments the story very well. Art as in life is all about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Keep up the good work and dare to dream.

A mid life crisis may be exactly what Ernest is going through, Stephen. Terribly cliched but there you go. 😛

The pain is powerful and real. I hope they find a way to survive. The romantic dream of escaping to a place of isolation and beauty is often more attractive that the actuality. Reality is harsher and at the same time more beautiful than fantasy or imagination. Ruth M
